Robert Parker's Wine Advocate, September 2015

96+ The 2010 Hermitage Domaine des Tourettes is an incredible wine that's only eclipsed by the 2009 Domaine des Tourettes. The 2010 is inky colored, concentrated and full-bodied, yet also elegant and seamless, with...

TheWineCellarInsider.com, February 2017

Forward, expressive, charming and surprisingly voluptuous for an Hermitage this young, there is freshness, and a vibrancy to the sweet, spicy, peppery, dark red fruits, hints of licorice and smoke. Full bodied and already...

Wine Spectator, January 2013

This shows a lush feel, with velvety structure that lets ample fig, blackberry paste and plum pâte de fruit notes play out. Cocoa, loam and dark tea all flitter through the finish, adding to the inviting feel. Best from...

Founded in 1835 by Charles Audibert and Phillipe Delas, the celebrated Delas Freres winery grows 30 hectares of vines comprising 10 hectares in Hermitage (including the Domaines des Tourettes estate), 2 hectares in Saint-Joseph, and 18 hectares in Crozes-Hermitage.

In addition to the grapes produced by Delas' own wine growing team, Delas' close relationships with like-minded owner-winegrowers ensure that the company is able to source grapes grown on individual parcels, which reflect their own unique terroir.

Exclusively a family-owned operation for over a century, Delas Freres joined forces with Champagne Deutz in 1977. In 1993, Deutz and Delas Freres were approached by the Rouzaud family, majority shareholder in the Roederer Group. They joined the Roederer Group under whose umbrella Delas' philosophy continues to flourish.

This wine is a blend from 3 different Hermitage terroirs: L'Ermite, le Sabot, and the famed plot, les Bessards. Made from 100% Syrah, grapes for Domaine des Tourettes are picked by hand and aged in French oak barrels.

The color shows brilliant, deep red hues. The nose is powerful and complex, expressing blackberries, spices and leather. On the palate, Domaine des Tourettes is firm but silky, with a tightly-knit tannic structure that is the hallmark of wines that have a great future.
