Good colour; the beginning of the end of the drought has resulted in one of the best balanced Georgia's Paddocks for many years; it is a classically proportioned, medium-bodied wine, with complex flavours and equally complex texture and structure; the black cherry, spice and licorice flavours soar on the finish.

Slightly reduced on the nose yet soon blows off, revealing a finely detailed wine of substantial depth, finely grained tannins and real ageability. Long-plus and very Rhone in style: garrigue and spice. Best after a decade, approachable after five; will live much longer.

Medium to deep garnet-purple in color, the 2010 Georgia’s Paddock Shiraz has a pronounced nose of black cherries, creme de cassis, black pepper and loam with hints of coffee, anise and yeast extract. Medium to full-bodied and with a great concentration of spicy / peppery black fruit flavors, it has just enough acid and a medium to firm level of velvety tannins, finishing long. It’s a wonderfully elegant expression of this vineyard. Though approachable now, it should drink best 2014 to 2024+. 93+ - LPB

A fresh and fragrant shiraz, this ranges from umami scents of black mushrooms and earthy roots to candied plum. Its dark fruit flavors have delicate persistence, the tannins hinting at herbs and tobacco in a clean, slightly floral finish. Tight with potential energy, this is built to cellar.
