The grapes come primarily from the Green Valley and Upper Middle Reach areas of the Russian River Valley, and you can detect the cool climate in the wine’s light, silky texture, mouthwatering acidity and just-ripe flavors of cherry, rhubarb and persimmon. Elegant and savory, it’s delicious now, but will reward 5–6 years in the cellar.
