Vivid pink; this looks like a rosé. Very perfumed, varietally expressive aromas of raspberry, orange peel and rose. Very perfumed, varietally expressive aromas of raspberry, orange peel and rose. Extremely bright and fresh, with open-knit floral red berry flavors showing very good depth and tangy cut. The floral quality comes back strong on the finish, which leaves traces of candied rose and fresh herbs behind. A little more palate presence andI would have scored this delicate wine evenhigher, but I admire its faithfulness to the variety and so I'll be generous. There are few more elegant lambrusco wines than this one, which is not surprising as I believe the Cristo site is the one true grand cru for the Lambrusco di Sorbara variety.
