The 2012 Primus Cabernet Sauvignon is from the single vineyard "El Mariscal" in Puente Alto, Maipo, which is often recognized as the best appellation for Cabernet Sauvignon in Chile, an alluvial terrace from the Maipo River. The wine has a textbook nose of blackberries, tobacco and cedar wood. A classic Cabernet, with no herbal aromas, it is straightforward, ripe and round, with some creaminess, moderate acidity and polished, round, ripe tannins. Drink now-2017. - Luis Gutierrez
