More dry and savory than I remember from barrel, the 2012 Pinot Noir Garys' Vineyard offers up loads of kirsch and assorted red fruits, licorice, dried soil, exotic spices and rose petal to go with a structured, medium-bodied, savory style on the palate. I'm sorry to say this didn't live up to the barrel tasting review, but it's still an outstanding wine that will benefit from short-term cellaring, and drink nicely through 2020. - Jeb Dunnuck
