Wine Spectator, 91 points: This needs some air but it gives you plenty of pretty plum, strawberry and cherry aromas. Full-bodied, with soft tannins and loads of ripe berry, strawberry flavors on the finish. Best after 2001. 1,200 cases made.
Vinous, 90 points: Youthful vibrant ruby-garnet. Raspberry and redcurrant on the lightly spicy persistent nose. Good size and concentration on the palate; fresh and long with sustaining tannins. Quite supple on the back end.
