For those of you who are not familiar with him, Christian Moueix is the winemaker for some of the most outstanding wines in Bordeaux and the United States, the most famous being Petrus and Dominus. 2006 Bordeaux Tasting Notes

Having tasted through many wines at this point, 2006 is a decidedly Chateau specific vintage. Some of the wines have high tannic acids without enough ripeness of fruit to back them, and this causes some unappealing astringency to the wines. Many start and finish well, but are a little hollow in the mid palate.
