2007 Domaine Trimbach Riesling Cuvee Frederic Emile
by JJ Buckley Fine Wines
On Sale $54.94 (reg. $65.94)
Alsace has always ranked right alongside Burgundy as the source of the world’s greatest dry white wines, but with grand cru examples typically trading at a fraction of the cost of their Burgundian counterparts, Alsace wins the prize for most accessible of the world-class wine regions. Domaine Trimbach is at the top of the heap here, producing “some of the world’s finest Riesling” (Wine Advocate).
The Cuvee Frederic Emile is one of Timbach's top two grand crus, and is capable of aging gracefully for decades. We're thrilled to have a small allocation of this 97-point "phenomenon" on sale at the best price around.
The Cuvee Frederic Emile is composed of Riesling from the grand cru vineyards of Geisberg and Osterberg, both on incredibly steep slopes, and is one of the few remaining multi-site grand cru bottles produced in Alsace. The Cuvee is characteristically dry and racy, needing years to unwind, but evolving for decades.
We have just a handful of cases arriving later this year and this will be sold out long before it lands, so get some for your collection today. Cheers!
