Tasted at John E. Fells portfolio tasting. After one corked bottle, another was far more promising with a lovely, caressing nose of cedar and Chinese spice inflecting the black fruit. The palate is rich and spicy on the entry, especially considering its age, “thrusting” being the precise adjective I wrote down. Velvet and smooth, just a little VA on the finish lending it lift. Rounded, generous, spicy and full of character. Drink now-2020+
