Only trace bricking. A remarkably elegant and spicy nose that is now fully mature reveals the initial hints of sous bois while leading to rich full delicious and very complex mouth coating flavors of superb depth and length. This is very impressive juice and still holding perfectly and the '85 is easily the best vintage of the decade for Clos de Tart. Note that the structure is almost completely resolved and there is no benefit to further storage though it should continue to hold for years to come. Multiple and consistent notes.

Lots of flavor character and silky smooth texture show off the plum choco late and spicy flavors along with toast and toffe nuances that run through the wine. It's got good acidity and enough tannin for aging. The flavors gr ow on you.
