With time the 1990 should prove to be the finest Bon Pasteur since the glorious 1982. The intense opaque color is impressive. Even more so is the huge nose of super-ripe black cherry fruit mocha tobacco and toasty new oak. It is deep and intense with medium to full body excellent depth a sweet expansive texture fine overall balance and more structure and tannin than the 1989. Very impressive! Anticipated maturity: 1995-2005.

Still closed but definitely outstanding. Ruby-red color. Lots of plum and tobacco character in this medium-bodied silky wine with similar character to the aftertaste.--1990 Bordeaux retrospective. Drink now. 3500 cases made. –JS
