Champagne Charles Heidsieck was founded in 1851 by Charles-Camille Heidsieck, an entrepreneur and a visionary. He decided to concentrate on producing and aging wine, leaving the vineyards to the expertise of growers, and purchased forty-seven chalk cellars dating from the 11th century. This labyrinth of underground alcoves and galleries offered ideal conditions for aging and enhancing his wines.

Following his dream of a wider audience for his exceptional wines, Charles left for America in 1852 (at that time a market still untouched by the Champagne trade) and became an ambassador for Champagne and France. He won over the South, including wild Louisiana, and became known as “Champagne Charlie”.

Today, Charles Heidsieck is one of Champagne's premier houses, producing both vintage and non-vintage cuvees. Charles Heidsieck champagne is one of the most recognized by the profession, earning awards, gold medals and trophies over the years.

A masterpiece from the Cote des Blancs made exclusively from Chardonnay grapes, Charles Heidsieck Blanc de Millenaires is a delicate, distinctive bubbly, the result of more than 15 years of aging in Gallo-Roman chalk cellars.

It comes from a strict selection of no more than 4 grand crus and one premier cru, which grants a unique nobility, elegance and generosity to this wine. The rich bouquet offers up aromas of dried and candied fruits such as hazelnuts, almonds and dates. There are also heady notes of beeswax and nougat.

A voluptuous, velvety and yet delicate texture is characteristic of Blanc des Millenaires. Smooth and sensual, the wine reveals its generosity in notes of salty caramel and its mildness in a hint of almond milk, complemented by subtle notes of vanilla and cedar wood.
