Filhot which prefers to tank rather than barrel ferment its wines produced a 1990 that is clearly the best wine I have tasted from this estate. It exhibits gorgeously ripe honeyed tropical fruit an intense medium to full-bodied personality wonderful purity fine acidity plenty of botrytis and a long zesty finish. What makes this wine so appealing is its combination of richness crisp acidity liveliness and zestiness.
