A positively gorgeous nose displaying hints of mineral reduction, botrytis, honey, wood toast and exotic fruits leads to fantastically complex minderal-driven flavors of magnificent length and the '92 Perrières possesses that indefinable element of breed in spades. This was once one of the wines of the vintage though the last few bottles have begun to tire to the point where they lacked the verve this wine once had in its youth. Indeed, one recent bottle was completely oxidized though this is not typical. I would be looking for reasons to drink up. That said, if you're certain that your bottle comes from perfect storage, you're in for a genuinely wonderful vinous treat.

In 1992, the world will have 350 cases of Meursault-Les Perrieres to fight over. The battle will be worth it. It offers a compelling bouquet of steel, minerals, ripe honeyed apple fruit, and floral aromas. The long, full-bodied, rich, multi-dimensional, chewy flavors are decadent. The acid is low, but that will only serve to guarantee that this wine is guzzled down in its first 5-6 years of life. It is a magnificent Meursault-Les Perrieres. - Robert Parker
