I tasted four premiers crus from Bernard Morey all of them outstanding wines. The 1994 Chassagne-Montrachet Morgeot is far more open than most offerings from this vineyard a terroir known for its steely structured style of white Burgundy. Morey's wine possesses exquisite length a big buttery mineral-scented nose and dense full-bodied powerful flavors with huge amounts of fruit and glycerin. This is a massive white Burgundy that should drink well for 7-8 years. If there is one Morey wine that requires a year or more of cellaring it is this one.
