The medium-to-dark ruby-colored 1996 Cuvee Laurene Pinot Noir offers toasty oak spice and floral aromas. This beautifully textured wine has excellent concentration medium-to-full body and well-defined yet dense flavors of cherries blackberries and blueberries. Typical of the vintage its finish is rather firm and astringent yet it appears to have the requisite fruit to outlast the tannins.
