Reflecting its 20 years, the wine’s color is copper although it still shows some hints of gold. It is opulent on the nose, showing a dried fruit note before revealing aromas of an orange/apricot marmalade, fresh blooming... Reflecting its 20 years, the wine’s color is copper although it still shows some hints of gold. It is opulent on the nose, showing a dried fruit note before revealing aromas of an orange/apricot marmalade, fresh blooming honey suckle, baked apple and a slate-like minerality – all of it accented by menthol. As it transitions to the palate, this Sauternes opens with bright, caramelized peach, apricot and apple, as well as honey and orange zest. It’s lively with a strong acidic spine and gives a medium-long finish. This wine would pair beautifully with any vanilla, caramel or cream-based dessert as well as anything that prominently features blue cheese.
