The 1997 Lafaurie-Peyraguey is quite deep in colour for a 1997. It has quite a rich, honeyed bouquet with touches of lanolin, beeswax and undergrowth, open and vibrant. The palate is medium-bodied, viscous on the entry, fat in the mouth with impressive tension and animation towards the finish, hints of bitter orange and marmalade on the aftertaste. - Neal Martin
