This is the only wine to display a discreet touch of ago that complments the complex but reluctant aromas of spice blackberry and cassis. The robust muscular flavors have tightened up considerable in the last few years and while this stops short of being a bruiser this is a big wine that clearly has more underlying material than the Echézeaux. Very classy and stylish because even though it's a very powerful wine it is still elegant and harmonious.
