The 1999 Pinot Noir Estate enjoys about one-third new French oak (all Francois Freres). The finest regular Pinot Rochioli has yet produced it exhibits a dense ruby color as well as a gorgeous nose of black cherry jam intermixed with earth smoke vanillin and spice. The grapes were picked very ripe which is reflected in the wine's sweet black fruit character. Drink this impressive Pinot Noir over the next 4-5 years.
