It requires another 4-5 years of bottle age, and should last 15-20 years thereafter. - Robert Parker

Served blind in Saint Emilion, this Clos Saint Martin is very polished on the nose, with scents of macerated black cherries and creme de cassis, residual vanilla from some high quality new oak. The palate is medium-bodied with cashmere tannin: rounded and sensual, modern in style but beautifully balanced and very pure. It becomes more floral with time, still backward with a long way to go, this will be intriguing to follow. Drink 2012-2030.

A lovely balanced red with berry raspberry and tobacco character. Medium- to full-bodied with silky tannins and a long finish. Well done. Score range: 89-91 (JS)
