Initially tight, unyielding and stiff, 4 hours of decanting changed everything. With air, you found a big, juicy, powerful gulp of cassis, helped along with cedar, tobacco, spicy red fruits and leafy notes. Full-bodied, concentrated, structured and youthful, another 5-8 years will add more softness to the tannins and allow the wine to continue filling out. The last few sips were fabulous. The wine is throwing a lot of sediment, so be careful when decanting.
