Smooth and harmonious with ripe rich supple plum and blackberry fruit shaded by cedar anise black cherry and spice attributes. Firms up and flexes its tannic strength on the finish. Very well-made. Drink now through 2010... Smooth and harmonious with ripe rich supple plum and blackberry fruit shaded by cedar anise black cherry and spice attributes. This fine wine which is at its best now offers polished flavors of currants blackberries and herbs with smoky nuances from oak. It is smooth and polished in the mouth with a good balance of acids and tannins. Not an ager... Dark dense red from core to rim. The nose is vibrant and fresh with jammy blue fruits blackberry and plum with a hint of herbs and spice and reminds me of aged Bordeaux. The nose is vibrant and fresh with jammy blue fruits blackberry and plum with a hint of herbs and spice and reminds me of aged Bordeaux. This offers loads of classic Cabernet characteristics that Sonoma County fruit is known for. There are still tannins present but they are softening and help give this a great texture. 'Cinq Cepages' is always a delight.
