Big grapey red yet refined and polished in texture. Medium- to full-bodied with fine tannins and a fruity finish. Better than '00? -JS

The beautiful aromas exude old-world elegance. Layers of bright red cherry and dark berry are enhanced by anise cedar and soy along with complex hints of saddle leather and savory spice indicating a perfectly aged Bordeaux. Medium bodied the red fruit is heightened with a bright streak of mouthwatering acidity and soft if slightly grippy tannins towards the finish. With the complexity of age this has freshness and structure of a younger wine - still showing great minerality and ripe fruit through and through. Delicious now this can be enjoyed over the next 3-4 years with roasted red meat or hard cheeses.
