Hollywood and Vine Cellars is a small winery producing highly acclaimed, ultra premium Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay. Founded in the 1990s by American actor, director, and screenwriter Doug Barr along with his longtime friend Bruce Orosz, the duo’s goal is to create truly extraordinary vintages of low-production Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay using fruit sourced from sought-after, often tucked-away vineyards with pedigreed terroir, low yields, and the use of labor-intensive viticultural techniques to ensure only the best fruit goes into each wine.

The producer is known best for its flagship Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay bottlings are named "2480" as an homage to Maynard Amerine, an UC Davis professor regarded as a pioneer in the California wine industry. Doug Barr was inspired by Amerine’s works to start thinking about the challenges of making great wines. Hollywood and Vine’s winemaker Celia Welch is renowned in for her winemaking talents and also consults for a limited number of ultra-premium Napa Valley clients.

The first vintage of Hollywood and Vine's flagship 2480 Cabernet Sauvignon was released in 1998. Each vintage is typically made with 100% Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, which are sourced from vineyards in AVAs throughout the Napa Valley - such as St. Helena, Rutherford, Oakville bench locations, Spring Mountain, and Mount Veeder - for complexity, depth, and classic Napa characteristics.

Hollywood and Vine works tirelessly to find the best Napa vineyards for each vintage. The producer looks for vineyards with famed terroir, low-yielding clones, and labor-intensive viticultural techniques. The grapes are entirely hand-harvested each season and spends time in barrel before bottling.
