The 2002 Cabernet Sauvignon Red Rock Terrace (7 acres) boasts a pure nose of smoky creme de cassis and burning embers. Tightly knit in the mouth with sweet fruit a hint of vanilla and the oak kept well in the background it possesses medium to full body a beautiful texture and a long pure finish. For me the tightest of the three but it is also impressive as well as outstanding. With a long finish this pure wine needs 3-5 years of cellaring. Anticipated maturity: 2009-2020+.

Firm intense and concentrated with vibrant currant black cherry sage and cedary oak. Thick layers of fruit and firm earthy tannins bode well for aging though the tannins clamp down on the finish. Best from 2007 through 2014. 498 cases made. (JL)
