The only 2002 I tasted here was the 2002 Cabernet Sauvignon Treva’s Vineyard VSR. This stunning effort possesses a Bordeaux-like structure but the extraordinary ripeness and richness that only comes from Napa fruit. Its dense purple color is followed by sweet aromas of creme de cassis smoke coffee and chocolate. With loads of flavor a voluptuous palate supple tannin and a sensational finish with notes of scorched earth flowers licorice and spice box this stunning Cabernet should be at its peak between 2007-2018. This is an impressive newcomer that merits serious attention.
