The 2002 Canteiro Single Cask 110 is made in a sweet style from a 620 liter barrel and was bottled in June 2010. It has a lifted bouquet of dried honey nougat yellow flowers and quince that is floral and generous. The palate is superb. The first wave of viscous honeyed fruit lashes the senses and the second wave is that molten acidity that slices through it like a knife. It is very intense and yet utterly refined. This is an outstanding Madeira wine although just 1035 bottles were produced. Snap one up. - Neal Martin
