The Reserve Shiraz reveals more oak tannin and ambition but I am not convinced it is any better than its less expensive siblings. Although dominated at present by its oak component the 2002 Shiraz Reserve Hubertis possesses a dense ruby/purple color along with plenty of beefy chewy blackberry fruit. It will benefit from 1-2 years of bottle age and should last for a decade or more. -Robert Parker
