Deep gold; a delicious mixture of ripe stone fruit pear and honey riding on a magic carpet of natural acidity. If you are prepared to gamble with the cork gods go to it.

This is fully mature to my tastes. Of course - given that it offers an intense burst of citrussy sherberty acidity - it will hold for many years yet but the soft toastiness of it and its waxy furry cuddly texture make tucking in now a real treat. Texture and length. Honeysuckle and lime leaves. Archetypal aged Marsanne but it feels exotic nonetheless. Terrific drive. Love it.

The 2002 `1927 Vines' Marsanne offers fragrant notes of cashews preserved lemon peel lemongrass and acacia honey with a gentle hint of orange blossom essence. The 2002 `1927 Vines' Marsanne offers fragrant notes of cashews preserved lemon peel lemongrass and acacia honey with a gentle hint of orange blossom essence. Light-bodied and dry with a fine line of refreshing acidity cutting through the evolved earthy and dried citrus peel flavors it has a long layered finish. Delicious now it should keep to 2017+.
