The 2003 appears to have more potential longevity than the 2002. An elegant Cabernet it reveals abundant notes of chocolate black cherries black currants and earth in its dense medium to full-bodied personality. With beautiful purity sweet tannin and a nicely delineated structured mouthfeel it is still a young but accessible wine that will not reach full maturity for another 5-6 years. It should keep for at least two decades.

Rich but slightly rigid, conveying a dehydrated skin character to the flavors of dark plum, spices and cedar. Owing to its combination of sound acidity and serious tannins, this wine is still quite backward.

Soft and pure nose with aromas of cedar fall leaves crème de cassis ripe red plum and French vanilla. Though still taut on the mid-palate this is really invigorating serious and persistent. Coats the palate with complex flavors of rich and luxurious blue fruit minerals sweet tannin and fine-grained oak leading to a long airy finish. This is just beginning to hit its stride but I have no doubt it will cellar well and drink beautifully for the next 20 years. A top shelf Napa cab that is aging gracefully.
