The 2003 Chateauneuf du Pape Cuvee Exceptionnelle may be the finest wine Quiot has yet produced. This deep profoundly concentrated effort boasts a dense ruby/purple-tinged color as well as a gorgeous perfume of raspberry and cherry liqueur intermixed with notions of licorice flowers and spice. Full-bodied and unctuously-textured with high levels of glycerin and alcohol as well as tremendous purity this is a terrific full-throttle palate-staining impeccably well-balanced Chateauneuf du Pape that can be drunk in 2-3 years or cellared for 12-15.

Wine Spectator, October 2006
Very lush and ripe with plum fig and raspberry fruit flavors that melt over fine-grained tannins leaving spice cocoa sweet smoke and mineral notes behind on the lengthy finish. Drink now through 2020. 2500 cases made.
