It was fermented in foudres and then aged in new French oak for 12 months. Nearly black in color with scents of hot tar as well as cassis black raspberries and floral nuances this full-bodied beast needs 3-5 years of cellaring and should drink well for a decade thereafter.-Jay Miller

Blackberry licorice and coffee flavors mingle in this inky red. The muscular tannins are well integrated and the lavish oak complements the ripe fruit. Heady but stays clean. Drink now through 2015. 2000 cases made.

Exotic pungent aromas of redcurrant rhubarb roasted coffee licorice and dark chocolate. Remarkably lively and fresh with zesty redcurrant and cherry flavors showing serious depth and power. This really explodes with ripe but focused red fruit flavors that expand through a spicy iron- and graphite-tinged finish that won't quit. Serious and built for cellaring. -Josh Raynolds

Berry compote kirsch and cassis liqueur aromas are enhanced by dried flowers and vanilla spice. Boysenberry and black cherry inform the palate along with compelx notes of pain grille cured meat new leather and a backbone of rocky minerality. Mouthfilling and savory this powerful old vine red delivers a lengthy finish. Decant before drinking now and enjoy with grilled or braised meats. Otherwise this will age nicely for an additional 5 to 7 years.

Super-ripe and powerful on the nose with aromas of cinnamon black cherry ripe blackberry and cassis complemented by floral notes of violet and lilac. On the palate this 2003 Priorat blockbuster shows no signs of slowing down with age! It's remarkably fresh with excellent minerality showing through rich decadent flavors of berry and coffee carrying into a long fruit-laden finish. Will pair beautifully with a grilled steak or lamb chops.
