The limited production Syrah Lorraine Vineyard (named after John Alban’s raven-haired wife) is bottled later than its siblings and always requires a bit more patience as it possesses additional structure as well as minerality. The 2003's dense purple color is followed by sweet aromas of blackberries licorice and charcoal sensationally concentrated flavors sweet tannin and abundant structure and persistence on the palate. This wine should “rock and Rhone” in 2-3 years and last for 15+.
