The gorgeously proportioned flagship offering the 2003 Vineyard 29 Cabernet Sauvignon (aged 18 months in French oak; 550 cases produced) boasts a beautiful Chateau Margaux-like perfume of flowers creme de cassis graphite and subtle toasty oak. Beautifully textured rich and full-bodied as well as strikingly elegant and nuanced this beauty can be drunk now or cellared for 15+ years.

Nicely integrated acidity and a floral element add verve. The fine-grained building tannins arrive late allowing the flavors to expand and linger. This was the first year when Chuck McMinn's high-tech winery was fully operational and winemaker Philippe Melka was able to vinify with 80% whole berries. The quality level here has reached a new standard with this vintage.
