A blend of 78% Cabernet Sauvignon, 14% Petit Verdot and 8% Merlot, the medium garnet-brick colored 2004 Cabernet Sauvignon Pritchard Hill Estate Vineyard is a little reticent to begin, opening out to the most incredible perfume of fragrant lilacs and rose hip tea over a beautiful core of cassis, warm blackberries, chocolate-covered cherries and bay leaves with touches of cloves and cinnamon stick. Full-bodied, rich and tautly structured with ripe, grainy tannins, it offers great poise as well as depth, finishing with great length. - Lisa Perrotti-Brown
