This grand cru monopole owned by the Mommessin family makes wine that charms easily with its perfumes and berry fruit flavors. But there is a definite tannic character that only appears once the wine has been in your mouth for a few moments. Then it is apparent that it is dry needing aging. The aftertaste is very fresh. R.V.

This Grand Cru pinot is expressive on the nose displaying diverse aromas of cranberry cacao eucalyptus smoke toast and an earthy humus. These complex notes continue onto the palate enveloped by kirsch cola and eucalyptus notes. Most remarkable is the texture: silky elegant light-footed and expansive. This wine is seamless from start to the finish that stays with you through your next sip. Mouthwatering and positively seductive this is hitting its prime drinking window right now and offers an excellent opportunity to experience classic red Burgundy.
