Tight firmly structured and still a bit chunky with a chewy mix of tannins and cedary oak overriding the spicy currant herb tar and black olive notes. But the fruit pours through on the finish so decant for now. Drink now through 2012. 3640 cases made. –JL

 The 2004 Affinity which is sourced from the Tulocay estate in southern Napa Valley is a dark ruby/purple-hued elegant effort displaying notes of lead pencil new wood spice and black cherries.
