Robert Parker's Wine Advocate, April 2010

The 2004 Brunello di Montalcino Riserva reveals gorgeous clarity precision and richness in a generous enveloping style. The fruit remains incredibly pure and almost primary at this stage suggesting the wine has many years...

Wine Spectator, June 2010

Aromas of blueberry and blackberry with hints of lilac. Full and velvety with powerful chewy tannins but so well-defined and polished. Very long and intense with bright acidity. Needs time to come together. Best after...

jamessuckling.com, June 2022

This is now offering lots of porcini, spiced-cherry, red-pesto and black-sesame character. Some chocolate orange, too. Full body, chewy tannins and a savory, umami core. Lots to like. Drinking nicely now. Drink or hold.

Fuligni is a family-owned estate on the eastern side of Montalcino. The vines, which extend over ten hectares, are primarily located at Cottimelli with altitudes varying from 1,250 to 1,500 feet. Average age of the vines is about twelve years with some dating back more than thirty years. The estate’s four vineyards are planted with Sangiovese, complemented by a small portion of Merlot.

The Fuligni range consists of the regular Brunello, a Brunello Riserva, a Rosso (Ginestreto), and an IGT Toscana made from a blend of Sangiovese and Merlot.
