One might argue that there is not enough of a difference between these two wines to justify separate bottlings but the producer (Gary Pisoni's son Jeff) obviously thinks so. The 2005 Syrah Garys' Vineyard exhibits a dense ruby/purple color big sweet smoky berry aromas grandiose levels of fruit notions of smoke and tar and a dense round opulent mouthfeel. Drink it over the next 5-7 years.
