This comes from one of the top ranges of wines produced by the giant Boisset family group. It is an attractively scented wine with spice and smoky aromas. The taste is rich juicy but well balanced with fresh black cherry flavors and a good thread of dry tannins. - R.V.

An interesting and unusually ripe nose of red berry fruits that offer notes of both kirsch and warm earth give way to fresh intense and linear flavors underpinned by firm and dusty tannins. This is very Gevrey in character and at present it's a bit lean but it appears to have the underlying material to flesh out with time in bottle. A solid if not truly distinguished effort in the context of the vintage.
