The deep garnet colored 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon Kayli Morgan Vineyard gives up a beautiful savory/meatiness with a core of blackcurrant cordial, red currant jelly, Black Forest cake and chargrill with touches of Indian spices, star anise, cast iron pan and mossy bark with a waft of yeast extract. The palate is full-bodied with a beautiful fine-grained texture and wonderful harmony even at this relatively youthful stage, with loads of layers and a perfumed finish. - Lisa Perrotti-Brown

Offering an oak, black fruit, jam, coffee, blueberry, smoke and molasses perfume. Big, dense, full bodied and concentrated, the fat flavors stain your palate. There was some heat and oak in the ripe, black fruit filled finish. As the wine spent close to 36 months in oak, it is not likely that sensation will dissipate.

Offers delicious pure ripe and fleshy Cabernet fruit delivering layers of currant wild berry and a hint of raspberry with mineral pebble and cedary oak. All of it unfolds gracefully with a supple caressing texture. Best from 2010 through 2017. 1200 cases made.
