Young and well-defined aromas of ripe red cherries, raspberries, creamy oak and black soils set the stage for the full, somewhat beamy wine that follows on the palate. It is supple and almost fleshy in feel to start, comes with open and reasonably juicy black cherry flavors and holds well into its fruity, tannin-framed aftertaste. It is not a wine in need of long-aging, and service with savory stews and braised meats will show it off well.
