A very generously wooded nose that is again right at the limit of what I find intrusive to the transparency of the aromas frames ripe pear and high-toned floral notes that serve to introduce rich full powerful and mouth coating flavors blessed with an impressive amount of dry extract all wrapped in a classy finish. As noted there is more wood than I can warm up to but this is clearly well made and offers solid potential. Drink: 2010+
