James Halliday, January 2007

Something about this pinot noir from Kooyong makes me want to put on my best Nigella voice and mention how deeply deeply satisfying it is. </br>It's so seductively and luxuriously perfumed and rich with varietal flavour that it's easy to get carried away with it especially given its sophisticated toasty minerally finish. Explosively perfumed aromas of vibrant red and dark berries fresh rose and musky underbrush. A dead ringer for a Vosne-Romanee showing sweet but focused raspberry and wild strawberry flavors complicated by licorice and roasted coffee. This suave silky midweight boasts outstanding finishing sweetness and precision not to mention length. -Josh Raynolds
