Immediately appealing for its black cherry and supple texture yet this red has the structure to develop over time. Ripe tannins and bright acidity shore up the finish. Best from 2011 through 2020. 300 cases imported. -BS

The nose offers aromas of bright red fruit--cranberry and ripe strawberry-- intermingled with fennel cut grass and a touch of eucalyptus. The wine is soft through the mid-palate and stays round and luscious into the finish with no firm tannins or rough edges. This is very approachable without being overly complex and is certainly ready to drink.
