Has lots of flavor but also shows real subtlety and style offering spicy pear wax and cashew notes that mingle effectively on the crisply balanced finish. Drink now through 2013. 250 cases imported. -HS

Spicy orchard fruit and melon aromas are impressively restrained with slow-building oak spice adding depth and complexity. Deep and weighty but poised with fresh fig pear and peach flavors sweetened by suave vanillin oak. Strikes an impressive balance of freshness and power and finishes with palate-staining length. -JR

The sophisticated bouquet shows deeply concentrated aromas that hint at tropical fruit along with ripe pear and peach with subtle barrel ferment characters lurking in the background. This wine also showcases full-bodied textures that coat the palate yet avoid any overripe characters. Ranging from lemon to ripe apple to hints of mango and pineapple the layers of flavors are supported by integrated acids creating a slightly crisp frame. A bit of buttery oak lurks on the fringes of the wine to add complexity as the rich flavors linger on the finish.
