The impeccably pure rich complex full-bodied 2006 La Reserve is a deeper fuller effort revealing an opaque purple color superb concentration a multidimensional textured mouthfeel and an impressive finish. Black fruits graphite and a hint of toasty oak dominate this wine's impressive character. It should drink well for 15+ years.Owned by a Chinese national from Hong Kong this under-the-radar estate is turning out some very good wines including their top cuvee (a blend of 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc) La Reserve a superb offering from the sandy/gravelly soils of this terroir.I rated the regular 2006 Haut-Brisson (87-89).
