From parcels in three sites - Les Forges Les Pellans and Les Chaumes - Pierre Morey's 2006 Meursault smells of salted fresh lemon narcissus and toasted wheat; combines richness of texture and underlying chalky density with vivacity on the palate; and finishes with persistent refreshment and a faint sizzle of citrus zest. While relatively austere this is apt I suspect to be best enjoyed over the next 3-4 years. -David Schildknecht
